# Beyond Employment

Historical analysis of employment and economic security in Kenya.

[Read the case](index.html) · [Explore the dashboard](dashboard.html)

KIHBS 2015/16: 29.7% of employed people aged 15–64 lived below the household consumption-poverty line, approximate 95% interval 28.4–30.9%. Survey-native historical employment definition. Household consumption, not individual earnings.

Afrobarometer 2024 is a separate population and period. WDI is explicitly an ILO-origin fallback. KCHSP national estimates and earnings are withheld.

## Evidence

Aggregate CSVs are in `data/`; definitions and sources are in `docs/`; authored calculation scripts are in `analysis/`. Raw respondent data, supplied manuals and credentials are excluded. KNBS access is subject to registration and reuse conditions. No blanket open-data licence is asserted.

## Reproduction boundary

The dashboard works offline from aggregates. Scripts require the original registered raw files and metadata layout; this subset is not a turnkey reproduction bundle. Obtain KNBS files under the linked catalogue terms and do not redistribute respondent records.
